The NLBRA Royalty competition is one of the only national competitions with three age groups for contestants ages 5-18. In order to compete for the national title, contestants must also qualify for the National Finals in one of the rodeo events. The competition for the 2025-2026 Royalty will be held in Guthrie, OK, the first week of July, 2025. Contestants will compete in speech and modeling, interview, test and horsemanship.
The NLBRA royalty spends their year of reign traveling to local events in their region and to several national events as ambassadors of not only the NLBRA but youth rodeo. Some of the events might include but not limited to:
- Wrangler National Finals Rodeo;
- Miss Rodeo America Pageant;
- Western English Sales Association Market (fall and spring);
- Timed Event Championship;
- National Little Britches Finals Rodeo.
